What a healthy roof depends on

A roof is a system. Construction, waterproofing, ventilation, drainage and details around chimneys, dormers and eaves work together. A reliable result comes from the correct slope, quality layers, correct cladding and moisture control. We diagnose the cause of each leak, document the condition and offer solutions by elements. We measure slopes, check ventilation openings, inspect tiles and sheet metal, test gutter lines with a test pour.

Problem - diagnosis - solution

• Leak during heavy rain - Often the cause is a damaged eaves, missing or torn under-roof foil, incorrect overlapping of tiles. The solution is a new roof, repair of the layer under the tiles and replacement of broken elements.
• Stains around the chimney - The cause is usually compromised sheet metal cladding or cracked plaster. The solution is new cladding on all sides and plastering with a resistant mortar.
• Icicles and condensation on the ceiling - There is no or poor ventilation of the under-roof space. The solution is air exchange from the eaves to the ridge and thermal insulation without interrupting the air duct.
• Gutter overflow - Clogging, small slope or insufficient diameter. The solution is cleaning, slope correction, replacement of gutters and downpipes.

Materials and details that make a difference

• Roofing foil with appropriate vapor permeability. It is laid with overlap and sealing strips.
• Controls and battens that provide a ventilated channel under the coating.
• Proper fasteners according to the material. For sheet metal we use self-tapping screws with a washer and seal, for tiles - hooks and brackets in windy areas.
• Sheet metal cladding around chimneys and walls. A correct upper counter seam in the masonry prevents back leaks.
• Water intakes with continuous waterproofing and sufficient depth.
• Ventilated ridge elements. They remove moisture and stabilize temperatures under the roof.

• Spring: Inspection of gutters and pipes, cleaning of leaves and sand, inspection of gutters and cladding.
• Summer: Local repairs and replacement of elements in dry weather. Preparation for installation of windows and ventilation elements.
• Autumn: Final cleaning of the drainage, inspection of snow retention elements, preventive inspection of chimneys.
• Winter: Monitoring for ice areas and backflows. If necessary - emergency cleaning and temporary measures.
